But Pauli, in his turn, yearns to reach the knowledge hidden behind the Muslim Khamid’s search for language. Their journey reveals one truth: when a person seeks language, he does not find words alone — he finds himself as well.

Zamra is a character who travels through questions. Rabbi wavers between knowledge and mystery, a guide balanced between the two. And the Qemami, hidden in the land between science and the unseen, carries the story to another level of questioning.

Who is Zamra? What does Rabbi await? And why is the Qemami sought to this very end? Within this book the earth and minerals of Ethiopia are told of as well. In this writing Yismake Worku is not only an author — he is a researcher, entering even at the cost of his own life to search through every mineral of Ethiopia.
